Everything you need to present AYNEHA: a short presentation, the key facts, documents and a direct contact.
In a few lines
AYNEHA is an original writing system for the Songhay language, spoken in Mali, Niger, Benin and Burkina Faso. It was created on 2 August 2026 by Mahamadou Issiaka MAIGA (MAIGUS), from Gao, Mali. AYNEHA is written from right to left and, based on the Songhay of Gao, gives its own character to each sound retained in the system.
The script has 5 vowels, 22 consonants, 4 diacritics and its own 10 digits. A free font (SIL Open Font License), an Android keyboard, a calculator, a clock, an online transcriber and a learning app, AYNEHA School, make it possible to learn and use AYNEHA today, free of charge. AYNEHA is featured on Omniglot.
