AYNEHA
FREN

AYNEHA Carnet is a notebook whose whole interface is written in AYNEHA, without a single Latin character. Its Songhay name is hãtumtiira. Your notes stay on your phone: no account, no server.

What it does

  • An interface 100% in AYNEHA: every button and every message is written in Songhay
  • Create a note, with an optional title (hima), then save it (gaabu) or cancel (naŋ)
  • Pin a note (kãdji) or unpin it (zumãdi)
  • Share a note (fey-fey) with the app of your choice
  • Search your notes (ceeci)
  • Delete a note (tuusu), with a confirmation; a recycle bin (yɛ̃gey) and a restore button (yeeti)
  • Lists, writing direction and AYNEHA digits
  • Dates in Songhay: today (hũkuna), yesterday (bi) and the Songhay names of the 12 months
  • Settings (goykasiney): text size, backup of your notes with export and import
  • Everything stays on your phone: offline, no account, no server

How to use it

  1. Open the app and tap + to write your first note.
  2. Write your text with the AYNEHA keyboard, add a title (hima) if you wish, then tap gaabu (save).
  3. Find a note again with ceeci (search).
  4. Pin (kãdji), share (fey-fey) or delete (tuusu) a note with its buttons.
  5. In the settings (goykasiney), export your notes (fattãdi) to keep them safe, and import them (daŋãdi) on another phone.
